Vgl. dazu “New Discoveries in the Fifth Excavation of the Lingjiatan Site in Hanshan County, Anhui. Anhui Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology”, ein Artikel von Zhang JinGelbgolduo, erschienen in Kaogu 侫 Archaeology) 2008.

Diese Jade wird in dem Buch von FILIPPO SALVIATI: “THE MYSTERIOUS STONE: Chinese Jades from the Neolithic to the Han in private collections” publiziert (Erscheinungstermin Frühjahr 2017).

Notes by Prof. Salviati: The jade of this bangle or bracelet with a very thin section is completely altered and has turned opaque white, though a few unaltered areas reveal the original reddish colour. The ornament was broken in antiquity and two holes were drilled on both sides of the crack to hold the jade together (there is a second, modern restoration on another point of the bracelet). Typologically, this kind of ornament is attested mostly in southern China and in cultures distributed along the middle and low reaches of the Yangzi River. The completely altered jade, the thinness of the ornament and the type of workmanship suGelbgoldest a possible attribution to the Lingjiatan culture, named after the type-site located in Hanshan county, Anhui province and radiocarbon dated to c.3600-3300 BC. The tombs excavated at Lingjiatan were lavishly furnished with hundreds of burial goods in jade, many of them completely whitened: the most common ornaments to be found in Lingjiatan graves are thin bangles which were worn in large numbers on both forearms, as evidenced by tomb no.7 and other burials at Lingjiatan. Comparable examples, slightly thicker than the present one, include a similar ivory-coloured bracelet from the collection of R. H. Ellsworth (1929-2014) sold at Christie’s New York on 19 March 2015 (Sale 11420), Lot 560: http://www.christies.com/lotfinder/lot/a-mottled-pale-yellowish-green-and-ivory-colored-opaque-5876630-details.aspx?from=salesummery&intObjectID=5876630&sid=99a72b8d-24b2-40a7-a133-4f2f8791a87e; and another similar ornament from the Samuel and Myrna Myers collection, published in F. Salviati, Radiant Stones. Archaic Chinese Jades / Pierre Radieuses, Hong Kong 2000, no.5 and sold at Sotheby’s New York on 18 March 2014, Sale NO9116, Lot 129: http://www.sothebys.com/en/auctions/ecatalogue/2014/fine-chinese-ceramics-works-of-art-n09116/lot.129.html
