One of the most prominent Belarusian painters of the 20th century.

Born in D. Hurbanovo Yaroslavl region (USSR). During the great Patriotic war Boris volunteered to the front. In 1944 he was sent to Bobruisk and Minsk, then in the district headquarters, where he was demobilized.

In 1950, he entered the Minsk art school, from which he graduated early in 1953 for good performance. In 1959 he graduated from the Belarusian theatre and art Institute. Mentor Arakcheev was an outstanding Belarusian painter and teacher, Vitaly Tsvirko. Boris was among the first and strongest graduates of the theatre Institute with such renowned artists as Leonid shemelev, Victor Gromyko, Anatoly anikeychik, Arlen Kashkurevich. From 1964 to 1971, Boris Arakcheev, he taught painting and composition at the Minsk art College. From 1971 to 1996 he taught at the Belarusian Academy of arts, where he earned the rank of associate Professor. Has shared his experience with many well-known Belarusian artists, including Vladimir Casing, Alexey Kuzmich, Vyacheslav ruskevich, Felix Yanushkevich, Vasily Yasyuk and others. From 1968 to 1977 Boris Arakcheev was on the Board of the Union of Artists of the BSSR. br>
Boris worked in easel painting, mainly in the genres of thematic painting, landscape and still life. A well-known series of portraits of his contemporaries and famous people. Special relationship the artist had to Minsk, which was reflected in his numerous canvases. Was a brilliant painter and a talented teacher. br>
the works of Boris Arakcheev today are in the National art Museum, the Foundation of the Union of artists of Belarus, in Mogilev art Museum, the Museum of modern art in Minsk, the Museum of the history of the second world war, the Literary Museum of Maxim Bogdanovich, Museum of the history of the city of Minsk art galleries in the Gomel, Svetlogorsk, Polotsk, Krupki, Baranavichy. Many of his works are kept in galleries and private collections of foreign countries (Russia, Ukraine, USA, Canada, Israel, Italy, Holland, Germany, Serbia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, etc.). br>
Since 1964, Boris Vladimirovich-member of the Belarusian Union of artists. In 2011, he was awarded the Order of Francysk Skaryna. In 1996, he received the title of Honored art worker of the Republic of Belarus.
