Author: Mamedov Georgy (1921 - 2001)

From 1936 to 1939 he studied at the Kharkov art College.
Studied with Vladimir Kobrin V. and M. Deregus.
Since 1953, participant of regional, Republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions.
In 1957 he joined the Union of artists of the USSR.
The historical theme, genre paintings, landscapes, portraits of his contemporaries - is such a wide creative range of the artist. In his works the artist reveals the beauty of the world, by passing it through a bright, loud colours in landscapes where there is harmony of color and form.
George Mehmedova works are in museums of Moscow, Kiev, Poltava, Kharkov, in the museums of the republics of the former USSR, in the gallery Commanducci (Italy), the Museum of the city of Cincinnati (USA) and private collections in Japan, USA, Germany, UK, Sweden, Italy, Greece, and Finland.
