Ivan Puni (Jean) A. (1892-1956) - painter, the grandson of the Italian composer Cesare Pugni. Took drawing lessons from Ilya Repin. He studied at the Academy R. Julien (1910 – 1911) in Paris. In 1912 he met Burliuk, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Kazimir Malevich. He painted in the spirit of Fauvism and cubism. Joined the youth Union" and participated in its exhibitions.In late 1919 on the ice of the Gulf of Finland fled with his wife to Kuokkala. From 1923 he lived in Paris. Member of the section of artists Union of Russian artists in France since 1933
Solo exhibitions: Berlin (1921, 1923), Paris (1925,1928, 1933, 1937, 1943, 1947, 1950, 1953, 1956) new York (1949, 1952) London, 1950 and others.
