"CARL SPITZWEG 1808 Munich 1885 ibid 'death of the Conspirator (comedian)' (1845) Oil on wood (cigar box). 21 x 14 cm. Signature stamp bottom right (in the Rhombus) Spitzweg'. Verso: Emblem of the cigar manufacturer 'H. Upmann', as well as to the right in the bottom faded estate stamp 'S (in the Rhombus) Spitzweg', and two old, strong dam. Labels. 'On a staircase in the back lies a slain figure with outstretched arms, the left one in the profile is given figure with beret, opening doublet and pants, the left raised the dagger, on the right the judge figure on the chair, with the antique garment, the right Arm. The left view in the great hall, seated figures in the middle ground, to the right dark, overhanging architectural parts over to the judge.
