Lot 21Baden: order of Berthold the First, Grand cross
Baden: order of Berthold the First, Grand cross.
Gold, partly enameled, multiple punctuated, the crowns in the arm angles are finely polished and boiled, as well as the mobile hung open crown, the Orb with the so-called riser bügelöse, small Gold label on the lower arm edge, hallmarked 585
GKDII p. 54ff, KB1 46, VL 53, OEK20 162 105 x 69 mm and of 36.4 g.

A total of only 172 ceremonies of the Grand cross were made - without the rental payments to the members of the Grand Ducal house and foreign Sovereign. This Grand cross is one of the ceremonies at a Sovereign - which can be understood on the basis of the get in bügelöse. The large cross was from 1877 foreign Sovereign on the collar mitverliehen - therefore, the special suspension. Very nice cross from the workshop of the court jeweler Joseph Zuber from Karlsruhe. In the year 1831 worker was making as gold, and died, probably in 1877.
