Japan, Meiji Period, Late 19th Century.Century. Silver, Oborogin and Shibuichi with Taka and Honzogan of Gold, copper and silver. Onko - or Other signed koku and Motonobu in Gold on a vase-shaped plaque. Holding the container body on three long legs with a raised emblem peonies floral decor. In Hon - and Takazogan of Gold, copper and silver decorated with twelve deities. Some of the figures bear the signs of the zodiac. On the shoulder two archaisierende Dragon handles made of silver, Black and Red enamel and gold tauschiert. A curved, lid with flower-shaped Openings with a gold rim. Full plastic Tiger made of Bronze, some with Gold-Honzogan decorated. Inner shell made of silver. Corroded. H 20.5 cm.
