Oval, pressed, bulbous, double-walled and openwork body. Side handles in the shape of a plastic female bust, accompanied by full plastic cupids. On both sides of the wall, between the circumferential flowers festonen and cloth buckets, one with palmettes, ornamental rocaille cartouche with courtly, of architecture framed or kauffahrtei scene. Fine polychrome painting, with rich gold decoration and the interior wall of gilding. Design By Johann Joachim Kaendler. Unw. rest. Minim. damaged; sword brand. H. 12 cm. 26 cm x 19 cm. This sumptuous terrine served in the Form of a so-called Drüselkästchens with the lid on to "Keep ausgezupfter, to embroidery and to use the like-thread" and was originally designed for Maria Josepha of Austria, wife of king August III of Poland.Cf.
