2-piece wooden box with a brass plate, inscribed A. Ericsson, St. Petersburg, 1467, CA. 17x17x12cm, in the middle of the precision cutout for the brass housing without the cardanic suspension (original), Kullberg number on case and movement, Spring chronometer very rare quality with a special Chronometer balance with cylindrical Weights on the Mature and outer screws gold Weights, Diamond endstone, palladium spiral, 56-hour power reserve, original dial, A. Ericsson No. 1467, gold hands, functional. A similar Chronometer was auctioned in Geneva in 2011 (https://www.cortrie.de/go/KQl). August Ericsson (1842-CA. 1910) born in Sweden, was a very well-known chronometer-maker, and founded in St. Petersburg, Russia, about 1875 an impressive business. The majority of marine chronometers, which were delivered to the Imperial Navy, were from him and were mostly Kullberg-works. One of his brothers, Bror, founded in 1884, the Stockholm watchmakers Association. One of August's sons, Alexander, was also a chronometer maker.
