Hl. Roch of Montpellier with the angels
Linden wood, full, plastically carved, back. hollowed out, painted and gilded. A large Statue of the changing Holy in a pilgrim costume, holding hat and stick in his raised right Hand a small loaf of Bread; to his Right, the angel, his wound healing. Style typical of the early Baroque sculpture Erasmus Kerns, learned his craft at Virgil minor and Jörg Zürn in Überlingen. Core 1617 master was and still is a significant, flourishing led in Feldkirch in the Vorarlberg at the end of Carver's workshop. Among the similar works and the core of several well-known sculptures for the 1650, commissioned former high altar of the parish Church of St. Martin in Eschen, Liechtenstein. H. 121.5 cm.
