Small lid tureen, with rose knob on a round Stand. Presentoir, with a partial scalloped edge. On all three Rocaille cartouches, polychrome Hand-bouquets of painted flowers. Between them, broken plastic flowers put bouquets as well as placed Hand-sculpted flowers and painted insects. Everything is lush in color equipped, gold edges, Gold equipped. Two plastic sheets of old an inconspicuous Chip restored. Ø Presentoir 21.5 cm. Ø shell 12.5 cm, height bowl 11 cm. Prof., Ernst August, people, Ritz for Royal porcelain Meissen manufactory swords mark under glaze blue, around 1860. 1. Choice, painter's number in purple, Ritz and press numbers. Very nice small lid tureen, very rare shape. Suitable for the sequence number.
Ernst August, people, Ritz (1818 Meissen, 1893), German sculptor. People Ritz came as a Bossier apprentice in the manufactory of Meissen. From 1838 to 1843 he studied at the Dresden art Academy under Ernst Rietschel, before he returned as a modeller to Meißen. From 1849 he was head of the design Department. In his early days, he designed mainly porcelains in the style of neo-Gothic and neo-Renaissance. In 1850, he revised his harness and vascular forms of the 18th century. Century.
