GOLD RING. Adorned with a miniature portrait of oval form, depicting tsar Peter the Great (1676-1725) seen in profile, the head turned to the right, kept in cut crystal, surrounded by a pink diamond. Frame posterior in yellow gold with openwork decoration of motifs leafy stylized. Presented in a green leather-wrapped, non-original. Wear and tear of time. Foreign labor in the Eighteenth century, no hallmarks are apparent. Has view : H. : 1, 5 cm - L. : 1 cm. Gross weight : 7, 90 grs. Provenance : former collection of prince Paul of Yugoslavia (1893-1976), from his mother, the princess Aurora Pavlovna Demidoff (1873-1904), and then stored in the direct progeny. A label stuck to the jewel bears the inscription handwritten in English by the hand of his wife, née princess Olga of Greece : "Portrait of Peter the great to the Demidoff who forged the sword of Poltava ".
