The love letter Oil on wood. 34.5 x 28.5 cm. Restored. Min. dam. Frame. Louis de Moni was a student of Ferdinand von Kessel, and Jean-Baptist (Andreas) Biset at Breda and 1721-25 in the case of Philip van Dyk at The Hague, he accompanied a year later, according to Kassel. In many cases it was based on the works of Gerard Dou, or the compositions of Frans, Willem and Jan van Mieris. Characteristic is the placement of the Illustrated in a niche, or a round arch, while the Scenery, as in the case of the CaravaGelbgoldisten is illuminated by indirect or concealed light sources. Similarly, draperies and precious fabrics, such as fine-patterned Holbein carpet that covers the table, on the the of the young lady with "Myn army", which started a love letter, while a staff member is preparing a chandelier to bring. Provenance: North Rhine-Westphalian nobility owned.
