A colored spring-fireworks: the Content of the children in the flower sea to personifications of the spring of life - according to oral Tradition, the children Nomellinis served in the offered work as a model. As their dates of birth are known, a creation time of the image to 1919/1920 suspect. In a not closer defined garden environment, a girl crouches on the floor (Aurora, *1904), half of it seems to be in interaction with a female figure on the left edge of the image in a masterly painted blue robe. Behind this, a blonde, younger girl in the yellow dress (Laura *1909), which carries a huge grape blue and violet flowers. She is playful with the support of a small, naked boy (Alceste *in 1917). That it is not a Putto, but a very earthly creature, make the shoes and stockings, which are the only pieces of clothing of the boys.
Virtuoso Nomellini addressed the color of this is so fresh bright painting - thick impasto to the most delicate, watercolour-like nuances of speckle in the treatment of the clear background. But it is also a symbolist trains: Formally, the female figure takes up the left edge of the image, the woman in the painting "Le Lucciole" of 1899, compositionally, in turn, the painting stands in the Tradition of art Nouveau.
