German landscape, portrait and history painter who lived from 1907 in Hamburg, Germany. L. studied in Königsberg, Breslau, and Paris, J. Lefebvre & T. Robert-Fleury, and later on in Barbizon. His preferred motifs of the Baltic sea, Mecklenburg, The Old country, as well as the black forest.
