Approx. Ø57mm, approx. 120g, gold-plated and lavishly engraved Oignon-housing, the rear armour of the knights with the order of the monogram cartridge, ungraviert, signed the spindle restored at the factory with silver embellishments, Egyptian pillars, high and steep-screw, spindle bridge, probably original enamel dial (some hair cracks), pointer, probably a little later, viable; associated, rare and decorative Chatelaine with seal pendant and key. Pierre Gaudron is regarded as an outstanding watchmaker. He was the son of Antoine Gaudron (1) and brother of Antoine Gaudron (2). Gaudron was between 1690 and 1730 in Paris and manufactured watches in the order of the government. He was watchmaker to the court of the Duc d'orleans and the king of France. Master watchmaker, he was in 1695.
