About: Ø53mm, approx. 157g, 18K rose gold, London Hallmarks For 1812, case makers hallmark IN the, case and movement number are the same 5336, chronometer movement, according to Earnshaw, equipped with Pennington's ‘Double-L’-chronometer balance, Diamond endstone, cylindrical spiral, screwed gold chatons, Board, signed and numbered, properly-preserved, signed and numbered enamel dial, red gold hands, excellent condition, beautiful and technically interesting English Pocket chronometer. John m was in London one of the leading chronometer makers and one of the few watchmakers of the "Board of Longitude" as a consultant in the dispute over Chronometer between John Arnold and Thomas Earnshaw.
