Gold-plated, loop bekrönter bronze frame with raised flowers. Tempera on ivory. 12 cm x 9 cm.Francois Meuret exhibited from 1822 in the Paris Salon, and was court-Miniturist of king Louis-Philippe I.; His Miniatures are characterised by fresh colours, applied in long, intersecting brush strokes, as well as by expressive eyes and a careful reproduction of the hairstyles.
