On a rectangular, stepped plinth base two-door corpus, crowned by a getrepptem essay with a hinged cover. On all sides different, fine black engraved leaf borders. The inside compartments 10 arranged in two rows spurts from ebonisiertem wood with linear ivory deposits. In the inside of sunken, glazed Miniatures, the Portrait of a noble Lord or a noble lady in the courtly costumes in the Renaissance style. Of a red curtain limited Background. R. m. monogrammed "RM". Tempera on ivory. Brass fittings. H. 27 cm. 23.5 cm x 17 cm.
The structure of this Cabinet is reminiscent to the Cabinet the Cabinet of the 17th century. Century from the workshop of Ulrich and Melchior Baumgartner, Augsburg. The Baroque, made of precious materials-made cabinets were made for the nobility and were often used as diplomatic gifts, and decorated the art chambers.
