Vladimir Yegorovich Makovsky (Russian: Владимир Егорович Маковский), a distinguished Russian artist born in 1846 in Moscow, was celebrated for his genre paintings that vividly depicted everyday life with a blend of humor and social critique. Alexander Dubovsky was born in Ukraine. In 1877 he graduated from an art school. In 1978 Alexander moved to Moscow and started his full-time art career. He still lives here with his wife Nina, children and grandchildren. Alexander developed his own recognizable handwriting in the technique of impressionism. The theme of his paintings is urban and natural landscape. In urban landscapes the artist conveys the life of cities that changes and transforms depending on the time of year and weather. In the landscapes of Dubovsky you can find night landscapes, sunsets, dawns, cities in cloudy and rainy weather, or vice versa, illuminated by the bright midday sunlight. "In my paintings I convey the movement on the streets, the life of people who are going somewhere. I like to depict landscapes of past centuries, and this is a historical monument that takes all of us to the past. I see architecture, especially ancient, as the frozen music of the universe and it inspires me," says Alexander. In 1989 he joined the Moscow Union of Artists and the International Foundation. In 2006 he was educated at the at the Faculty of Fine Arts of MPGU in Moscow. Since the 80s he has been a participant in personal, international, group exhibitions. His paintings are in private collections around the world. Now the artist is in Europe, collecting material for future artwork.

В 2020 году жизнь привела меня в искусство. Я являюсь автором и художником метафорических ассоциативных карт: "Женская душа", "Чудный мир", "Говорящие руки", "Советы Вселенной", «Мысли богатого человека» и других.
Психология, сюрреализм и красота женской природы - это мои любимые темы на данный момент.
В конце 2023 года я начала работать над серией картин «Жизнь Белых коней».
Новый герой Нового времени!
Главные герои этой серии – Белые кони, которые олицетворяют Светлых, Процветающих, Духовных и Благородных людей, которые живут в согласии и Любви со Вселенной, с собой и окружающим их миром. Эти люди стремятся к Высшей истине, развивая свой духовный мир. Любовь – самая важная часть этих людей.
В каждой картине для зрителя раскрывается какой- то один из важных Законов, моментов жизни.
Символизм Белого Коня в разные времена, и в разных странах всегда был связан с Солнцем, с дневной ясностью, с огнем, воздухом, небесами, солнечными героями, как выражение добрых человеческих устремлений в его повседневных трудах и борьбе с трудностями.
Белый Конь символизирует – интеллект, разум, чистоту, самообладание, духовность, т. е. духовный огонь в человеке, а так же невинность, непорочность, смелость, жизнь, молодость, творческую силу, движение, бег времени.
Главные герои всегда в галстуке, шляпе и с чёрным портфелем, что ассоциируется с деловым и преуспевающим человеком.
Так же конь символизирует счастье и богатство.
И, конечно же я продолжаю работу над моей любимой серией "Женская душа", в которой я раскрываю красоту женской природы.
Приглашаю зрителей углубиться в тонкости разума и совершить визуальное путешествие по психологическим ландшафтам и окунуться в многогранные аспекты человеческого опыта.

Alexey Smirnov is a contemporary, distinctive artist working at junction of fine art with its inherent esthetics and contemporary art with its intentional “madness”, challenge and hidden meaning.
For many years the painter have been trying to find himself. Never copying any of his colleagues-artists he refined his mastership, searched for his own artistic language. Soon these endeavours began to produce results – Alexey formed his original bright and remarkable volume technique of painting works of art.
The creative work of Alexey Smirnov differs with his enhanced sensitive perception of life, search of new means of expression consonant with modern times. The principal theme of Alexey Smirnov’s art is modernity. In his works the perception of environment loses its single-valuedness. Almost each painting makes the viewer to contemplate it long while, provoking a number of associations and deliberations. In his works one can often observe the collision of the mundane and the fantastic, interlacing of lyric and grotesque, romance and irony.
The characteristic feature of the author’s plastic language is a sharp feel of colouring, expression and fascination with texture, all of it allowing realize both formal decorative and conceptual psychologic tasks. Through the half-opened door of his art the author invites the viewer to make a step into the unknown, where vibrations of picturesque lines, gorgeous forms and fantastic constructions are filled with sense and obtain their ethereal tangibility, transform into structures of the World around us. The World consisting not of things and subjects but of essences, powers and energies. The play of lines of the picture, surfaces of colour and space in the artist’s compositions form metaphorical image of beingness, put in motion the viewer’s intellect, encouraging him for self-perfection and finding knowledge of eternal secrets of the universe.

Мой отец был художником.
С пяти лет я начал рисовать восхищаясь картинами Ван Гога, Ренуара и даже Пикассо. Серьезно начал заниматься только после армии с 22 лет. Начались первые персональные выставки в Екатеринбурге, где я жил с родителями в то время. Живопись для меня это создание параллельного фантастичного мира добрых зверей, птиц и конечно людей. Много картин я посвящаю легендам Древней Греции. Множество картин посвящено женщине и любви. Я думаю, что любая картина должна нести глубокий позитивный заряд, предлагать радостную альтернативу серым будням.
Моим личным брендом в живописи и кинематографе является "Гранатовый Единорог", священный волшебный конь, бессмертный защитник зверей.
Моими самыми удачными картинами я считаю серию тропических птиц: Туканов, Африканских воронов, попугаев. Птицы для меня умнейшие ангелы леса, с ними интересней жить. Множество моих картин находится в частных коллекциях в России и Европе. В основном это тропические птицы, эротические сюжеты, пейзажи и цветочные натюрморты.
В последние десять лет я всерьез увлекся литературным творчеством. Пишу детективные романы, фантастику, и драму русской жизни. Хотя нужно признать, что написание романа, есть невероятно сложная попытка. Намного сложнее, чем написать картину или рисунок. Напишешь не интересно, читатель не станет тратить на твои мысли свое время.
Лучшие мои романы: "Аборигены Черного моря", "Жаркое лето месье Пергоко" и другие мои романы в мировых электронных библиотеках.

Покупать нужно только те картины, которые несут позитивную энергию и радость бытия. Все это видно на картине.
Всего я провел более 30 своих персональных выставок. Более 800 моих картин и иллюстраций находятся в частных коллекциях по всему миру, включая несколько ранних работ в США.
