Peter Suhr was a German painter, lithographer and publisher.
Peter is a member of the Suhr family of painters from Hamburg, the younger brother of Christoffer Suhr (1771-1842) and Cornelius Suhr (1781-1857). The brothers were already producing panoramic views of Hamburg when Peter joined them around 1819, forming a general lithographic company that also printed books and playing cards.
Paul Franz Flickel was a German painter of the last third of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. He is known as a landscape painter.
Flickel painted landscapes in Germany, Austria and Italy. In Germany, he chose the nature of the Baltic coast, the island of Rügen, the Harz mountains and the groves of Brandenburg. Flickel's most expressive works are Italian landscapes, the coloring of which was given by the bright southern sun and lush Mediterranean vegetation.
In 1892 he became a member of the Prussian Academy of Fine Arts and in 1894 a professor of art.
Eugen Felix Prosper Bracht was a German landscape painter.
A late Romanticist painter, Bracht was known for his moody landscapes and coastal scenes in North Germany, and began a sketching trip through Syria, Palestine and Egypt from 1880 to 1881. In 1882, he became a Professor of Landscape Painting at the Prussian Academy of Arts.
Later, Bracht became a representative of German Impressionism.
In 1901, he obtained a teaching position at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts that he held until 1919.
