Käthe Kollwitz. Königsberg In 1867 - Moritz Castle In 1945
Graphic designer & sculptor, one of the most famous German artists of the 20th century. Century. She was trained at the drawing school of the Association of Berlin artists at K. Stauffer-Bern, E. Neide, in Königsberg and in the case of L. Herterich in Munich In Berlin, she joined the secession. K. is well known for its social indictment of the etchings & graphics-cycles, including 'weavers ' revolt' & 'peasants ' war'. Since 1910 she has also worked as a sculptor.
