High-Relief with the birth of Christ
Lime wood, polychrome taken and plated. Scenic, narrative presentation of the birth of Christ with the Hl. Family at the barn. Mary and Joseph, in a kneeling, andeutiger Pose in front of the child, which is located on the long Golden dress of Mary and three angels is considered to be behind the ox and ass. On the right side, two through an open barn window, from the action taken shepherd. In the mountainous landscape of the background with the stylized city of Bethlehem, and another small figuriger shepherd with his flock, Christ as the "Good shepherd," symbolizing. The style of the art-historically significant, masterfully carved Reliefs points to Passau on the sculptor Jörg Gartner.
