Wooded landscape with horsemen and peasants
A view on a hilly, tree-lined landscape, in the foreground, a peasant group with mules under a large oak tree. In composition, landscape, view, style and colouring, is representative of paintings from the little-known Oeuvre of eight schellincks. In particular, the spaciousness, and a clever spacious, soft, liquid, broad ductus and a crystal clear color. Eight schellinck studied with Pieter van der Borcht, and Lodewijk de Vadder, 1657, he was master. His works are, among other things, in the Prado, as well as in the galleries of paintings of the museums of Berlin and Dresden. Oil/Lwd., doubl; 66 cm x 83.5 cm. Frame.
