PHOTOGRAPHIC FRAME. By FABERGÉ, Moscow, 1894. Of rectangular form, the front is carved and polished from a block of nephrite, of which the upper part is extended at the top by an arch ; in the centre is a photographic portrait enamelled in grisaille on silver bottoms, representing the emperor Alexander II (1818-1881), towards the end of his life, kept in a entourage in gold, topped with their monogram and topped with a wreath of laurel leaves finely snipped retained at the centre by a node decorated. Each corner is adorned with a rose finely crafted of two colors of gold. With the back a foot bridge in silver with openwork decoration and attached suspension. Slight wear, but very good overall condition. Hallmark title : 84, Moscow, 1894. Punch goldsmith : K. Fabergé, marks the privilege and imperial and n° inventory : 12738.
