Approx. Ø59mm, approx. 138g, gorgeous silver casing with double pearl border, reverse engraved scene with castle and lake, dust cover signed, printed circuit Board, signed and numbered, spindle escapement, skeletonised percussion with figure automaton Jacquemarts and additional hidden erotic figure of slot machine, Actuation by lever next to the hinge, small enamel Dial (hairline), gold-plated pointer, functional, extremely rare. Esquivillon & De Choudens was between 1765 and 1830 in Geneva and Paris. The Geneva-based watchmaker Jacques Dechoudens (1728-1801), founded with brothers Joseph Esquivillon (1714-1798), Jean-François Esquivillon (1) (1733-1813), and Gédéon François Esquivillon (1717-1799), a workshop which produced high-quality spindle pocket watches. You signed the watch mostly with Les Freres Esquivillon & De Choudens, but also with Esquivillon & De Choudens and Les Frères Esquivillon. The company was specializing in automatons and musical clocks.
