Sabre of an officer of light cavalry Handle covered with tanned leather, with double watermark of gilded brass. Frame in brass engraved with flowers, bay leaves and spider webs, the guard at a branch fluted, two half mumps in palmettes and quillon curved toward the bottom, in seal. Curved blade signed on the heel "I. G. E." in the back round, strong against sharp-edged, tongue, carp, groove and hexagon socket, engraved, gilded, and blue to the third party (wear and tear). Scabbard made of sheet iron, two bracelets, and two rings in brass. B. E. Epoque Consulate – Empire.
