Height 85 cm, width 57 cm. - The Aluminium Chair is one of the most important furniture designs of the 20th century. Century. Charles and Ray Eames originally designed it in 1958 for the private residence of an art collector in Columbus (Indiana, USA).

Charles Eames studied architecture in St. Louis and in 1930 opened his own architectural office, taught from 1940 on, Design at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan. 1941 married Ray Kaiser studied painting. From 1946 the production of Eames furniture designs, the company Hermann Miller in Zeeland, Michigan, and the construction of the iconic 'Eames House', from 1957 collaboration with Vitra. In 1964-65, the Couple was responsible for the IBM pavilion at the world exhibition in New York.
