Ludwig von Hofmann is a German painter, graphic artist and designer. The influence of Historicism, Art Nouveau, Symbolism and New Realism can be felt in the works of Ludwig von Hofmann at different periods of his art.
Ludwig von Hoffmann studied painting at the academies of fine arts in Dresden, Karlsruhe and Munich. Since 1898 he was a member of the cultural movement Berlin Secession.
After the National Socialists came to power in Germany, some of his works were classified as degenerate art, but most of them continued to be exhibited in museums in Germany.


Franz von Stuck was a German painter, sculptor, printmaker, and architect. Stuck was best known for his paintings of ancient mythology, receiving substantial critical acclaim with The Sin in 1892.


Caspar Johann Nepomuk Scheuren is a German painter and illustrator.
After receiving an elementary art education from his painter father Egidius Scheuren, he studied landscape painting at the Düsseldorf Academy of Art, where he later became a professor.
Caspar Scheuren gradually developed an allegorical style of landscape painting, including motifs from stories and legends of the Rhine. He produced more than 300 oil paintings, 600 watercolors and 400 engravings.


Toni Stadler the Younger is a German watercolourist, sculptor and graphic artist.


Lorenzo Quaglio was an Italian-born German painter of the first half of the 19th century. He is known as a painter, landscape painter, genre painter and lithographer of the German Biedermeier period, a member of the Quaglio dynasty of artists, brother of the famous architect-artist Domenico Quaglio.
Lorenzo Quaglio worked early in his career as a decorator for the court of the Bavarian Electorate and the national theater in Munich. He traveled frequently in the Bavarian and Tyrolean Alps, which inspired him to create. His works predominantly depicted scenes from the peasantry of Upper Bavaria. He also executed on stone copies of paintings from the Dresden Gallery. In 1812, he created his first lithograph with nature scenes, and from 1820 he studied Bavarian folk costume. Later he worked on the decoration of the Swan Knight Hall in Hohenschwangau Castle.


Horst Janssen was a German graphic artist, printmaker, poster and illustrator. He created many drawings, etchings, woodcuts, lithographs, and woodcuts.
There is a museum dedicated to his legacy in Horst Janssen's hometown of Oldenburg. His works are represented internationally in major museums.
