François de Rochechouart-Mortemart, Duc de Mortemart (1832-1893), and by descent to his daughter,
Jeanne de la Rochefoucauld, née De Rochechouart-Mortemart (1864-1924), who married Alexandre de la Rochefoucauld, Duc d’Estissac (1854-1930) in 1883.

with Charles Michel (1871-1948), Paris, 1942, as 'Bronzino', where acquired in February 1943 for FF 4,000,000 with a ‘pendant’ portrait (Paris, Louvre, inv. MNR 800), through E. Garin, Paris, by,
Karl Haberstock, Berlin and intended for Hitler’s Führermuseum, Linz (inv. no. 27414), as 'Imitator of Bronzino', deposited in the salt mines in Altaussee in Austria (Inv. no. 3910) for safekeeping.
