A popular map of China from the late Qing era, extending from Mongolia and Xinjiang in the north, to Changsha in the south, and from Qinghai in Tibet in the west, to the East China Sea in the east.
Woodblock map of China, ink printed on paper, composed of four strips, texts in Chinese, each approximately 900 x 240 mm on 1065 x 255 mm sheets. Title to the top forming an upper border, names of provinces and prefectures in cartouches, with distance mileage from the provinces to the capital Beijing. Stored in a 365 x 80 x 85 mm wooden box with sliding lid. (Browned, some staining, surface abrasions to the uppermost portions and margins, edges trimmed, ink slightly faded in scroll one [reading from right to left] and four; paper lost at the lower left part of scroll two and the lower section of scroll four, causing loss of characters.)
