NOTE:
Feng Jianwu, courtesy name Taiyu and You, was a native of Renshou, Sichuan. His brother was Shi Lu (Feng Yaheng), the founder of the Chang’an School of Painting. He studied under Wang Zhen, Wang Geyi, Pan Tianshou and other famous masters. Feng then later founded the oriental Fine Arts College in Chengdu in 1932, where he was the principle of the Chinese Painting department. After 1956, he taught at the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute.
