FASHION – Group of 15 books on fashion. 20th–21st centuries.

From the private library of Mica and Ahmet Ertegun, a collection of 15 works from the the world of fashion.

In the words of Annette de la Renta, ‘Mica never puts a wrong foot forward. She has the most refined eye.’ Mica Ertegun’s style was no doubt the epitome of this refinement. Teaming up with Vogue editor Chessy Rayner to was their renowned interior design firm MAC II in 1967, Mrs Ertegun was at the centre of New York’s fashion scene from her earliest days in Manhattan. And thirty years later in 1997, a quintessential selection of her gowns was accepted by the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the permanent collection of their unrivalled Costume Institute. The present collection of works is a tribute to Mica Ertegun’s connexions across the fashion world, from presentation copies from André Leon Talley to Mica’s own archive of early Minotaure and Verve issues.
