Oberleutnant Otto Schulze, bearer of the Knight's Cross – documents, photos and a dagger
Provisional possession document for the Knight's Cross dated 20 June 1942 (the Cholm Pocket) with the signature in ink of Oberst Gebb. Certificate for the Iron Cross 1st Class and 2nd Class dated 26 and 21 June 1940 with IR 386, both with the signature in ink of Genlt. von Grote. For the Infantry Assault Badge in Silver with the signature in ink of Generalmajor Scherer, dated 14 March 1942 in the Cholm Pocket. For the Wound Badge in Silver, dated 14 July 1942. For the Cholm Shield, dated 31 October 1942 with the original signature of Generalmajor Scherer, "2295" pencilled on the back. Some of the documents soiled and spotted with mould.
An army officer's dagger with an orange handle and sword knot by WMW Waffen. The quillons with the monogram "OS" between oak leaves on the back. The blade broken off after the war.
Approx. 150 photographs, some labelled on the back, from Russia and later with the guard regiment "Grossdeutschland". Some of the photos in a modern folder with enlargements (photos of the photograph) with visible Knight's Cross, Cholm Shield and "Grossdeutschland" cuff title.
Moreover, an album containing approx. 200 photos from his student days and the pre-war period.
Plus a folder with field post letters, including the final letter to his wife on 6 April 1945, school reports, wedding documents and private correspondence from the post-war period, also from comrades reporting on his fate.
Oberleutnant d.R. Otto Schulze (born in 1914). Missing in action since 8 April 1945 near Quappendorf/Brandenburg.
Extremely rare estate of a bearer of the Knight's Cross and Cholm combatant.
