Leopold Rottmann war ein deutscher Maler aus der Mitte des neunzehnten Jahrhunderts. Er ist als Landschaftsmaler bekannt, der in Öl und Aquarell arbeitete.
Leopold Rottmann war ein Verfechter der naturalistischen und heroisch-historischen Malerei. Er war der Zeichenlehrer des späteren Königs Ludwig II. von Bayern. Im Auftrag Ludwigs, der sich von Richard Wagner inspirieren ließ, schuf Rottmann 1861 das Bühnenbild für die Inszenierung der Oper Lohengrin des Komponisten.
