Alexander Max Koester war ein deutscher Maler. Er stellte Küstenlandschaften und Blumenstillleben dar. Er erhielt den Spitznamen "Enten-Koester", nachdem er 1899 in Berlin zum ersten Mal eine seiner Landschaften mit einer Entenfamilie präsentiert hatte. Die "Enten"-Bilder waren bei Kunstliebhabern sehr beliebt.
