Александр Самохвалов родился в г. Дегтярске Свердловской области, окончил Уральское училище прикладного искусства в Нижнем Тагиле (1979). Член Союза художников России (с 2008).
Ведущий жанр в творчестве художника - пейзаж, который, являясь авторским истолкованием природных явлений, становится для него разворачивающимся свитком, на котором запечатлены, помимо видимых красот, незримые ценности и смыслы, наполняющие его сердце и душу. Натурный материал, являющийся для автора главным источником вдохновения, перерастает в живописные полотна, радующие разноообразием настроений и многокрасочностью палитры.
Пейзажи А. С помощью моего искусства я стремлюсь воплотить свою безграничную любовь к Человеку. Интерес к людям, их жизни, телесности и опыту – ключ к моей работе. Формат живописи представляется мне наиболее интересным для рассказа в форме картины, а портрет – лучшей формой для рассказа о человеке. Первостепенное значение для меня имеет передача сущности персонажей моих картин. Через отражение физического и духовного образа человека, а также с помощью символов и цветов, я стремлюсь создавать портреты, которые будут рассказывать историю изображаемых мною героев. Ключевой темой моих работах всегда является человек. Человек в середе, в обстоятельствах, в гармонии с собой или в противоречии с миром. Человек со всеми его радостями, стремлениями, переживаниями и пороками. Каждый Человек – это Вселенная. Мне интересно лучше узнавать позирующих мне людей, вступать в диалог и открывать их для себя и мира, поэтому я люблю писать с натуры, но также рисую и с фотографии. Меня вдохновляет то, что как живописец, - в отличие от фотографа - я имею безграничные возможности манипулировать увиденным, изменять и дополнять его с целью создать нечто, лежащее далеко за пределами поверхности холста. Процесс рисования кистью создает уникальную энергию, которую невозможно повторить никакими механическими средствами: мазки и краски обретают жизнь и превращаются в героев сюжета, в людей.
Ещё одна захватывающая сторона живописи - изучение вселенных, созданных мастерами прошлого и настоящего. Меня вдохновляют символисты, современная американская живопись и русские художники.
Я начала писать 1,5 года назад. Живопись помогла мне в тёмный период моей жизни: я справилась с депрессией и нашла себя. Сначала просто копировала работы других художников, но это быстро наскучило. Попробовала рисовать людей с фотографий, получалось достаточно легко, процесс захватил меня и окончательно оформил мой интерес к портрету. Я самоучка, но постоянно совершенствую свою технику на различных курсах.

Меня зовут Болендер Елена, я пишу картины с 2014 года, в 2020 включена в Единый Реестр Профессиональных художников России, с присвоенной категорией 5В - сложившийся профессиональный художник (востребованный).
За это период участвовала в 9 выставках, 5 из которых были персональные, мои работы, на постоянной основе, размещены в местном музее, станица Динская , Краснодарского края.
Пишу, в основном, в стиле импрессионизм, имею собственную технику - мозаика. Люблю писать портреты и пейзажи.
