About the artist

Zurab Gikashvili is a visual artist. He was born in Kvareli, Georgia on August 5th, in 1961.

Zurab Gikashvili holds a Master of Arts Degree. He graduated with honors from three different art schools:
•Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, Tbilisi, Georgia, Master of Arts Degree (1986-1992)
•Art College of Iakob Nikoladze, Tbilisi, Georgia, Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education (1976-1980)
•Telavi State Art School of Elene Akhvlediani, Telavi, Georgia (1972-1976)

•Since 1980, Zurab actively exhibits his artworks around the world: New York, Washington, DC, Atlanta, England, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, Republic of Georgia, Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Dubai.
•Zurab had a solo exhibition at The Karl Ernst Osthaus Museum, Hagen, Germany in 2015 (25th Sep - 22nd Nov).
• His artworks are part of The Huma Kabakci Collection.
•Zurab Gikashvili represented the Republic of Georgia at Prague Biennale in 2009.
