Manifested Set of 2 pcs. LED backlight Gouache Russia 2021
The main idea of the first part of the diptych is the ideal female image. The image of motherhood is the Madonna, to which artists of all epochs have turned, starting with Neolithic sculptures, iconography, the Renaissance up to the "Petrograd Madonna" by K. Petrov -Vodkin.
The author's interpretation of this image of a woman who gives birth to a child in this harsh world, trying to protect him with her unconditional love as a halo, is made in an original technique, achieving the effect of "not man-made".
The second part of the diptych is men's views on the unborn baby. He has not yet been born, but there are already plans for him – in which wars he will participate, in which God he will believe, which rulers he will obey, what kind of lifestyle he will lead. However, no one can guess who will grow out of a baby - a submissive cog, a lyricist or a rebel.
The diptych is built on the confrontation of female tenderness and male severity towards the child.
