EARLY WESTERN ZHOU DYNASTY, 11TH-10TH CENTURY BC
The base of the interior is cast with a four-character inscription reading Lei zuo bao yi, which may be translated as 'Lei made this precious vessel.'
7 ½ in. (19 cm.) high, Japanese wood box, silver liner, zitan stand

Mineo Hata Collection, Kobe, acquired in Japan circa 1995, by repute.
