QIANLONG PERIOD, CIRCA 1775
In the classic pattern, some plates with figures on lotus, others with pheasants and tree-shrews, comprising:

A large vegetable tureen and cover
A smaller vegetable tureen and cover
A pair of sauce tureens, covers and oval stands
Two sauceboats and leaf-shaped stands
Seventeen graduated oval platters
Seventeen soup plates
Twenty-seven dinner plates, ten in a slight variation of the pattern
Eight pudding dishes
A side plate

Together with:
Twenty pseudo ‘tobacco leaf’ plates with a woman on lotus, Qianlong period
Eight pseudo ‘tobacco leaf’ plates with pheasants, Qianlong period
An additional large vegetable tureen cover
18 1/8 in.(46.3 cm.) long, the largest platter

Descended through the Astor family to Emily Sophia Harding and probably used at both Astor Courts and Marienruh in Rhinebeck, New York.
