This unusual group comprises a European couple with goblets in hand seated at a table with a bowl of bread and a cross. Their son and daughter stand by their sides and their pet dog and monkey are modelled in the foreground by a jardinière. The man and his son wear tricorn hats and frock coats while the wife and daughter wear loose robes and skirts with cowls covering their heads. The group is supported on a rockwork base.
