KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND PERIOD (1662-1722)

The compressed globular body has rounded sides raised on a low foot ring with a slightly inturned mouth rim. The exterior is covered with a brilliant red glaze of vibrant, slightly mottled crushed raspberry tone transmuting to speckles of green in some areas, and the glaze stopping neatly at the foot. The interior and base are covered with a transparent glaze.
