A FINE PAIR OF ROYAL DOORS Greek, Crete, 2nd half 17th century Tempera on wood panels. Finely executed on a gold ground. The upper register representing the Annunciation, the lower frieze showing the two equestrian Sts. George and Demetrios facing each other. The wooden doors, carved, gilded and polychrome. Minimally restored. 129 x 61.6 cm. Text nach Lukas 1,35: 'Der Heilige Geist wird über dich kommen, und die Kraft des Höchsten Exhibited: Eva Haustein-Bartsch (Hrsg.): Von Drachenkämpfern und anderen Helden. Kriegerheilige auf Ikonen, Recklinghausen 2016, cat. 28.
SEHR FEINE KÖNIGSTÜR AUS EINER IKONOSTASE Griechenland, Kreta, 2. Hälfte 17. Jh. Eitempera auf Kiefernholz, Goldgrund. 129 x 61,6 cm. Der obere Bereich zeigt die Verkündigung vor einer stilisierten Architekturkulisse. Der Erzengel Garbriel, der sich von links der Gottesmutter nähert, grüßt sie mit seiner erhobenen rechten Hand und präsentiert eine geöffnete Schriftrolle mit dem griechischen Text nach Lukas 1,35: 'Der Heilige Geist wird über dich kommen, und die Kraft des Höchsten wird dich überschatten.' Das vor der Gottesmutter liegende aufgeschlagene Buch lässt den griechischen Text nach Lukas 1,38 erkennen: 'Ich bin die Magd des Herrn, mit geschehe, wie du es gesagt hast.' Die unteren Bildfelder zeigen die Reiterheiligen Georg und Demetrius. Unter ihren Pferden liegen der Drache und der König Kalojan. Min. rest. After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
