First edition of "one of the first statements of French-English rival claims in Nova Scotia" (TPL). This anonymous book was written with the aim of informing prospective settlers to Nova Scotia. Halifax was founded the same year as this publication. According to the preface, the information is based on the Author's own observations and on the works of Charlevoix.
