The arms are those of Sudbury and Farmer. The inscription reads 'Johan Sudbury nuper Decan Dunelm / Richardo Farmer A.B. Coll: Emman: / ἁiἐv ἀеιϛἐuειν' which translated reads 'John Sudbury, lately Dean of Durham to Richard Farmer B.A. Emmanuel College: Always Excel'.
