The fire surround exuberantly carved with C-scrolls, acanthus, dripping rockwork and scrolling foliage, the overmantel designed in the Chinese Chippendale taste, the cresting with a Chinaman flanked by ho-ho birds, the sides with seated Chinese figures and further birds, the plates within a pierced frame carved with entwined branches, dripping rockwork and a balcony, with printed and inscribed Ann and Gordon Getty Collection inventory label

The fire surround: 59 in. (150 cm.) high, 73 1/2 in. (187 cm.) wide, 7 3/4 in. (19.5 cm.) deep

The mirror: 92 1/2 in. (235 cm.) high, 72 in. (183 cm.) wide, 7 in. (18 cm.) deep
