CASE: the bell-top case with leaf-clasped loop handle and cone finials to the angles, gilt mouldings to front door and side panels, raised on bracket feet, together with a conforming brass banded ebonised bracket
DIAL: the shaped plate with silvered chapter ring, pierced foliate spandrels and blued steel hands, the matted centre with date aperture, twin subsidiary dials for ‘strike / silent’ and regulation flanking the signature plaque ‘Allam & Clements / London’
MOVEMENT: the twin fusee movement with verge escapement and strike/trip repeat on bell, the plates joined by five knopped pillars, the foliate engraved backplate with pendulum hold-fast
