Formed of four connected panels, the belt clasp chased with David playing the harp to Saul with suspension loops on each side, below a trophy of arms and kingship, the central panel with Jonathan shooting arrows, and below a lion and ram, all within scrolled rocaille ornaments, applied on the reverse with an oval plaque engraved with initials IH, marked on loop
