MARK OF DIGBY SCOTT AND BENJAMIN SMITH FOR RUNDELL, BRIDGE AND RUNDELL, LONDON, 1805
On spreading foot, the fluted centre framed by a foliate border, the ovoid body cast and chased on the lower part with acanthus leaves interspersed with branched acorns, the upper rim applied with a strap of scrolling fruiting vines between corded scrolling handles centred by paterae, the collar decorated with a Vitruvian border and fruiting vines, the everted central collar with detachable cover with acanthus bud finial, engraved on one side with inscription and on the other with a coat-of-arms, marked on foot-rim, on collar rim and in cover, stamped on foot-rim 'Rundell Bridge et Rundell Aurifices Regis et Principis Walliae Londini Fecerunt', in original oak case painted twice V. of H and labelled 'Lord Vaux of Harrowden'

The arms are those of Fayerman for Captain Francis Fayerman (d.1819), commander of H.M.S. Athenienne.
The inscription reads 'To Francis Fayerman Esqr Captain of his Majesties Ship L'Athenienne. from The Commanders of the Hon.ble East India Comp.y's Ships. Perseverance, Neptune, Taunton Castle, Ceres, Royal Charlotte, True Briton, Arniston, Alnwick Castle, & Cuffnells, as a Token of their Respect & Esteem, for his Uniform & Indefatigable Attention to them whilst under his Convoy, during a long & circuitous Voyage to & from China in the years, 1804, & 1805'.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
